Have to get up at Oh-God-Hundred in the morning to get to the hospital by 7:30 for the surgery (which isn't actually until 9:30). Supposedly I'll be able to put weight on the ankle almost immediately but I'm going to stash away my drinks and a couple of snacks in the library so I don't have to climb the stairs until bedtime ( Read more... )

Finally: my massage therapist has reopened! We try to go to the "interesting" but not actually painful point on my ankle and legs. Since I tend to favor my bad ankle, I also get a lot of tension in the good leg, so we work on both of them.

Well we got rid of the n00b - she sent a snippy letter to the submissions officer saying she was leaving, and berealexander replied "You beat me to it. It wasn't the horrible writing; we could have helped you with that. It was your rudeness when receiving critiques. Didn't your mother every teach you any manners??"

I put in a little rock garden around my mailbox yesterday afternoon. I've had succulents planted there all along, since it gets full sun and is always rather dry. I dug them all up, added a few more, and laid down some of that weed-blocking liner along the edges of the bed (we'll see how well it works).
